DR. GIRI’S EFFORTS AND VIEWS ON THE IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION IN INDIA

 

Dr. Sudhir Giri hails from a humble homestead, his parents lived in a rural setup but dreamt big and desired to educate their child so that he could have a bright and gratifying future.

Their vision was definitely worth it, that child was Dr. Sudhir Giri who left no stone unturned in achieving great heights to make his parents and family proud.

Dr. Giri believes that education is the most important thing, especially for the development of a nation.

Sir received the international award “The most trusted university award 2022” for excellence in higher education.

Dr. Giri believes India is a vastly populated country and a developing nation. Hence, education is one of the major components that will be helpful in changing India from a developing nation to a developed country.

Further, he feels if we take a careful look at the demographics of India, we can see that states and cities having the highest literacy rates have better infrastructure and advanced technology than others.

Hence, Dr. Giri thinks we need to work on various reforms and educational projects in India to create a progressive and developed country.

He also feels that the importance of education is not just limited to creating a progressive country. There are many other reasons that make education important in India, such as

• · It promotes an independent society comprising civilized and well-mannered individuals.
• · Education helps in uplifting economically underprivileged groups and leads to the creation of various employment opportunities.
• · Good education facilitates a peaceful exchange of ideas and knowledge.
• · As much as it ensures a bright and prosperous future for educated individuals, it also helps in alleviating crime and terrorism.

Dr. Giri is a man with a concrete vision for tomorrow. In order to make his dream of education for all come true, he started his journey by entering the field of Computer Education and Business Management towards the end of the 20th century.

Later, he entered the field of Teacher’s Training (B.Ed.), to address the insufficiency of qualified teachers for the improvement of primary education.

Subsequently, he expanded his domain by opening up new institutions, Universities, Medical College & World Schools that cater to the demands of the community.

Dr. Sudhir Giri, the founder and President of Venkateshwara Group; India’s leading Education brand soon became a renowned name in the education fraternity.

Dr. Sudhir Giri established the Tirupati Educational and Welfare Society in the year 1998 in Meerut, which is spread over 08 acres of land having a net worth of INR 100 crores.

 Venkateshwara Institute of Computer Science and Technology (VICST) Meerut (India).

VICST (www.venkateshwaragroup.in) is functioning in Meerut since 1998 and provides a plethora of courses like B.Ed, M.Ed., B.P.Ed., BBA, BCA, B.Com. B.Lib.Sc.

The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), GOI, New Delhi, has approved the institution.

Venkateshwara College of Education (VCE) Meerut, (India).

VCE is a B.Ed. college that provides education in the domain of teacher education with the vision to improve the quality of higher education in India.

The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi, has approved the college since 2006 and Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, has granted its affiliation.

Venkateshwara Institute of Technology (VIT) Meerut & Venkateshwara College of Pharmacy (VCP) Meerut (India).

It was started with the mission to educate students in technical education in Uttar Pradesh. All India Council for Technical Education, GOI, and New Delhi has approved the institute & Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow has granted its affiliation.

VIT (www.venkateshwaragroup.in) is functioning in Meerut since 2008 and provides technical education like bachelors in various disciplines.

VCP is based in Meerut. VCP is a pharmacy college running under the trust and provides  courses like B.Pharma & D.pharma.

All India Council of Technical Education, GOI and the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi have approved the b. Pharma courses of VCP since 2009 and it is affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow..

Shri Venkateshwara University (www.svu.edu.in)

SVU is at Gajraula, Distt- Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, spread over 52 acres of land and the total built-up area is approx. 9 Lakh square feet.

It offers graduate, postgraduate, and doctorate degrees in various subjects and runs under Shri Bankey Bihari Educational and Welfare trust having a net worth of approx. Rs. 500 crores.

Shri Venkateshwara University is a state private university established through an Act of the State Legislature of Uttar Pradesh (act 26 of 2010) and also has UGC approval.

We offer various courses in Engineering, Architecture, Applied Sciences, Agriculture, Business Studies, Medical Science, Nursing, Pharmacy, Design, Language, and Cultural Studies, etc. at the university.

 Venkateshwara Open University (VOU), (India)

Venkateshwara Open University (www.vou.ac.in), is at Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh having a net worth of approx. INR 80 CR.

VOU is registered under the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 22 of the UGC Act 1956. It runs under the Padmavati Educational Trust.

Venkateshwara Open University is an international platform of higher learning for the needs of the middle-aged generation who are working and keen on improving their skills.

 Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS), (India)

Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences (www.vimshospital.edu.in) is on the campus of Shri Venkateshwara University.

VIMS provides medical education (MBBS) to 150 students and runs under Shri Venkateshwara University, Gajraula, Distt- Amroha, UP.

The Medical Council of India, New Delhi, has approved its MBBS program.

Its 750-bedded multi-specialty hospital with 140+ doctors and ultramodern equipment provides medical treatment to the residents within a radius of 70 km. The hospital has an average OPD of 700+ patients and an IPD of 300 + patients every day.

VIT College of Pharmacy (VITCP), & Venkateshwara Institute of Pharmacy (VIP), Meerut (India).

We set up the Institute of Pharmacy with a mission to train the faculty and students to be innovators and leaders in transforming healthcare and creating positive patient outcomes through quality research. VITCP & VIP both are in Meerut.

VITCP is running since 2018 and VIP has been functional since 2019. The trust funded by Dr. Giri runs both the pharmacy colleges and provides D.pharma courses.

AICTE GOI and the PCI, New Delhi, have approved both the colleges and are affiliated with the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh (India).

Apart from these institutes, Dr. Giri has established many primary and world schools to nurture a vibrant society that is well-educated. He pays special importance to research, as it is crucial for the overall development of a nation.
